We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual School Psychologist to join our team, serving the K-12 district in Cambridge, Wisconsin.
Position Overview:
As a Virtual School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in promoting the mental health and well-being of our K-12 students. You will conduct initial evaluations, assess student needs, and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure that all students can succeed. This role involves conducting meetings with parents and teachers, focusing primarily on initial evaluations rather than re-evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and initial evaluations for students in a virtual setting.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment results.
- Facilitate virtual meetings with parents and teachers to discuss evaluations and intervention strategies.
- Provide virtual counseling and support to students dealing with emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop effective strategies for student success.
- Participate in virtual multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
- Provide training and resources for staff and families on mental health topics.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and related fields.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Wisconsin.
- Experience working in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a virtual environment.
