Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time role with school districts in the Hephzibah, GA area. We are seeking compassionate and skilled professionals dedicated to supporting the mental health and academic success of students.
Job Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Georgia State License as a School Psychologist.
- Completion of a practicum or internship in school psychology.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding school psychology and special education.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and educational staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies and support plans for students facing academic and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to address students needs and promote positive learning environments.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications.
- Conduct crisis intervention and prevention activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Provide professional development and training to school staff on mental health awareness, behavioral interventions, and best practices.
