Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a position in Cottonwood, AZ. This role will focus on a PreK/Elementary caseload and offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours.
Position Overview:
As an SLPA, you will support the speech-language pathologist in delivering services to children in a school setting. You will work directly with students to help them improve their communication skills, participate in therapy sessions, and implement individualized intervention plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with students.
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student communication and academic performance.
- Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, or a related field.
- Current SLPA certification in Arizona.
- Experience working with children, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
