We are seeking a passionate and experienced School Psychologist to join a supportive school community in Ridgefield, CT. This role involves working with students, parents, and faculty to promote students' academic and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address emotional, social, and academic concerns.
- Administer, score, and interpret psychological assessments to diagnose learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and mental health issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing urgent mental health concerns.
- Document and maintain confidential records of assessments, evaluations, and counseling sessions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Licensure: Connecticut state licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Certification: Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of Connecticut state laws and regulations regarding school psychology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
