Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a full-time contract position in Haphzibah, GA. This school-based role is perfect for professionals dedicated to supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students, particularly those in special education settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students needs and strengths.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students facing emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
- Consult with school staff on effective strategies for supporting diverse learners in the classroom.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate student progress and modify interventions as necessary.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting support plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for students in need.
- Stay informed about state and federal regulations regarding school psychology and special education services.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid Georgia School Psychologist Certification.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
- Commitment to advocating for the needs and well-being of students.
