BlazerJobs is actively seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a work-from-home teletherapy position with a school district in New York. This remote opportunity offers flexibility for both students and therapists, allowing clinicians to work from the comfort of their home while providing services to students who may not have access to on-site therapy. Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for students with speech, language, voice, and hearing impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students needs.
- Provide direct virtual therapy services to students through digital tools and teletherapy platforms.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure students are receiving comprehensive support.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes.
- Keep current with teletherapy best practices, new techniques, and technology tools for virtual service delivery.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience working as an SLP in a school setting.
- Previous experience in teletherapy or virtual service delivery is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with families, teachers, and school staff.
- Comfortable using teletherapy platforms and technology for virtual therapy sessions and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing virtual sessions.
Requirements:
- Must provide your own liability insurance and be comfortable with working as an independent contractor.
- Home computer with high-speed internet required.
- Successful completion of a basic tech screening to ensure smooth virtual therapy sessions.
