Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Moriarty, NM. The SLP will be responsible for diagnosing and treating students with speech and language disorders, helping them improve their communication skills and academic performance. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by supporting their speech and language development in an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide guidance to teachers and staff on strategies to support students communication needs in the classroom.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or ability to obtain licensure.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
