Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Sherman, TX area.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students speech, language, and communication needs using standardized assessments.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' needs, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Monitor and document students progress, adjusting therapy goals as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student progress and recommendations for continued support.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide consultation to teachers regarding strategies for supporting students' communication needs in the classroom.
Requirements:
- A Masters degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
- A valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA).
- Alternatively, a Bachelors degree and a valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate may be accepted.
