School SLPA Position in Aurora, CO ($35 hr)
Blazerworks is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position with the Aurora, CO school district for the 2024-2025 school year. As an SLPA, youll play a critical role in helping students develop their communication skills, fostering their academic and social success. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children and working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Details:
- Location: Aurora, CO
- Role: School-based SLPA
- Schedule: Full-time, 2024-2025 school year
- Start Date: ASAP or at the beginning of the school year
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and treatment plans to address communication goals
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting activities as needed to support individual development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support students needs in the classroom
- Document sessions and maintain records to ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
Requirements:
- Active SLPA certification or licensure in Colorado
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and communication needs
- A team-oriented attitude and a passion for student success
