Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a full-time contract position in Batavia, IL. This school-based role is designed for professionals dedicated to enhancing the academic and emotional success of students, particularly those involved in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students needs and strengths.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
- Consult with school staff on effective strategies for supporting diverse learners within the classroom.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate student progress and modify interventions as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing ongoing support and adjustments to intervention strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to students facing urgent challenges.
- Stay current with state and federal regulations related to school psychology and special education services.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist Certification.
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
- Strong commitment to advocating for the needs and well-being of students.
