Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role in the Lancaster, SC area. This position is ideal for dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students with speech and language disorders. Candidates must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role.
Local and State Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current South Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations in South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students' speech and language abilities through standardized tests and observational methods.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school policies related to speech and language services.
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff on communication strategies and classroom accommodations.
