Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Hollister, CA. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment, helping students with a range of communication disorders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving students speech and language skills, collaborating with teachers and staff, and creating individualized plans to support students' academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
- Provide direct therapy services in one-on-one and group settings, focusing on speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students goals and ensure effective communication interventions.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide updates on students progress, goals, and therapy outcomes.
- Provide counseling and support to students to enhance communication skills and social integration.
- Maintain accurate records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology and education.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge of special education services and IEP processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
