About the Role
As a Speech Language Pathologist in our district, youll be working directly with students to improve their communication skills, collaborating with teachers and parents, and playing a key role in enhancing student outcomes. Your expertise will be essential to creating personalized plans that address the unique needs of each student.
Your Responsibilities Include:

Individualized Assessments:
Conduct thorough evaluations of students speech and language abilities, identifying any areas of concern and developing tailored therapy plans.

Therapy Delivery:
Provide one-on-one or group speech therapy to students, helping them improve skills such as articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and fluency.

Collaborative Planning:
Partner with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to create and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs) and support plans.

Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess students' progress, making adjustments to therapy as necessary to ensure they meet their goals.

Create a positive, nurturing environment that promotes self-confidence and growth, encouraging students to actively participate in their own development.
Who You Are

Certification & Licensure:
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Active Connecticut state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Connecticut.

A Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.

Experience:
While prior school-based experience is a plus, we value your clinical expertise and passion for helping students succeed.
