Blazer Jobs is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Oakland, CAarea. We are actively interviewing qualified candidates to join our dedicated team of professionals supporting local school districts.
Position Requirements:
To be considered, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Must hold a valid and active state SLPA license.
- Completion of an accredited Bachelor SLPA program or equivalent education.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a passion for working with diverse student populations.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with speech and language disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Implementing therapy plans and activities as outlined by the SLP.
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to provide comprehensive care.
- Assisting in the preparation of therapy materials and adapting classroom activities.
