Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time role within school districts in the New Orleans, LA area.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to determine students needs and develop effective intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student learning and well-being.
- Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans and academic strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide direct counseling services to students, including crisis intervention as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Offer consultation and professional development for school staff regarding behavioral and mental health issues.
Requirements:
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology.
- A valid Louisiana School Psychologist certificate issued by the Louisiana Department of Education.
- Experience working in schools or with school-aged children is preferred.
- Must pass state and district background checks.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA and state laws related to special education.
