Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time role within school districts in the Rochester, NY area.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to identify student needs.
- Work with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Provide direct counseling services to students, including individual, group, and crisis counseling.
- Support students with behavioral and emotional challenges through tailored interventions.
- Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and contribute to the development and monitoring of IEPs.
- Collaborate on school-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate and mental health awareness.
Requirements:
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology.
- New York State certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in a school setting or working with school-aged children.
- Must pass state and district background checks.
- Knowledge of New York State laws and regulations governing special education.
