Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team within a school district. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services to students, helping them improve their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language programs as designed by the supervising SLP
- Assist with screenings and assessments
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding student progress
- Attend meetings and professional development sessions as required
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field
- Valid SLPA license or certification as required by the state
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
