Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Espanola, NM area.
Responsibilities:
- Assess students functional abilities and identify therapy needs using formal and informal evaluations.
- Develop and implement therapy plans to address motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with diverse needs, including fine motor skill development and sensory integration.
- Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to provide holistic support for students.
- Participate in IEP meetings to contribute to the development of appropriate educational accommodations and goals.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records of therapy sessions and progress.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Knowledge of New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) regulations for related services.
- School-based experience is highly preferred.
