Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
As a School SLP, you will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, including assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with educators and families to ensure student success. We are looking for individuals who are passionate, skilled, and ready to make a difference in the lives of children.
Requirements:
- Valid Delaware State SLP license.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF).
- Understanding of IEP (Individualized Education Plan) development and implementation.
- Knowledge of state and federal guidelines regarding special education.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify students' speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational goals.
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Provide strategies and resources to educators and parents to facilitate communication development.
- Stay current with best practices and new developments in speech-language pathology.
