We are looking for a School Social Worker to join our dedicated team in River Rouge, MI. In this impactful role, you will work with students in grades K-12, providing the necessary support to help them thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. What Youll Do:

Counseling & Support: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students facing emotional and social challenges. Help students develop coping strategies, resolve conflicts, and improve their mental health.

Assess & Address Needs: Conduct assessments to understand students emotional, social, and behavioral needs. Develop customized intervention plans designed to support students in overcoming obstacles and achieving their goals.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to provide a holistic approach to student care. Participate in regular meetings to discuss strategies and ensure students are supported in all aspects of their lives.

Crisis Response: Respond swiftly to crises, offering immediate emotional support to students in need. Work with school staff to create long-term interventions that prevent recurrence and ensure student stability.

Program Initiatives: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the mental health and social-emotional learning (SEL) of students. Advocate for programs that promote mental well-being, foster positive behavior, and create a supportive school culture.
What Were Looking For:

Educational Background: A Masters degree in School Social Work or a related field.

Licensing Requirements: Must be licensed as a School Social Worker in Michigan, or eligible for licensure.

Experience: Experience in a school, clinical, or social services setting preferred but not required. Were looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and adolescents and ready to make a difference.

Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and crisis management skills. The ability to collaborate with diverse groups and effectively implement intervention strategies.
