We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our team in Bloomfield, NJ. This role is designed to support the mental, emotional, and social needs of K-12 students, helping them thrive both academically and personally. Your Key Responsibilities:

Provide Counseling Services: Offer individual and group counseling sessions to students to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. Assist students in developing coping strategies to navigate stress, anxiety, and other life challenges.

Assess Student Needs: Conduct assessments to evaluate the emotional, social, and behavioral needs of students. Create personalized intervention plans designed to enhance student success and well-being.

Collaborate with School Teams: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop coordinated support plans for students. Attend team meetings to track student progress and modify strategies as needed.

Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to crises involving students, providing immediate emotional support and working with school staff to stabilize and plan next steps.

Promote Mental Health Initiatives: Lead school-wide programs that foster social-emotional learning (SEL), mental health awareness, and overall student wellness.
Qualifications Were Looking For:

Education: Masters degree in School Social Work or a related field.

Licensure: Active New Jersey School Social Worker License or eligibility for licensure.

Experience: Experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents is preferred, but not required.

Skills & Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to provide crisis management, and a passion for advocating for students emotional health.
