Full-Time General Education Recreational Therapist - Las Vegas, NM
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Recreational Therapist for a full-time, onsite position in Las Vegas, NM. This position is for the current school year and will work with a high school caseload. We partner with the local school district to provide exceptional services and support to students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized recreational therapy plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with the education team to ensure therapeutic goals align with student academic and social-emotional development.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, including physical, emotional, and social activities to enhance students overall well-being.
- Evaluate and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Assist in the development of programs that support students in building life skills and confidence through recreation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and treatment plans.
- Ensure therapeutic activities are safe, appropriate, and engaging for students.
Qualifications:
- NM PED (Public Education Department) certification required.
- Experience in recreational therapy or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet students' needs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
