Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to improve motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities within the educational setting
- Provide direct therapy sessions focused on sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, and self-care to enhance students academic and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' goals and create inclusive educational environments
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and adjust treatment plans based on student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations to optimize student support services
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Licensure: Must hold a current Florida Occupational Therapist license
- Certification: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred
- Clearances: Up-to-date background check and compliance with district and state health and safety requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred, with strong communication and collaborative skills
