Responsibilities
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, your duties will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Delivering evidence-based therapy sessions in individual and group settings.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services, evaluations, and progress reports.
- Providing training and resources to school staff and families to enhance communication support.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Georgia state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of IEP development and the special education process.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
