Job Requirements
Qualified applicants must meet the following:
- Licensure: Current Nebraska Speech Language Pathologist license.
- Certification: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- State Requirements: Complete Nebraskas background checks, fingerprinting, and other state-mandated clearances for working with students.
- Experience: Previous school-based experience is preferred, with proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educators.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Assessments: Evaluate and assess students speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Create individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention programs for students with communication challenges.
- Provide Direct Therapy: Deliver evidence-based speech therapy in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster effective communication and language development in students.
- Track Progress: Document and report on student progress to help inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
