Blazer Jobs is actively seeking qualified candidates for a School Social Worker position in Madison Heights, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective support plans for students.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Facilitate communication between the school, families, and external support services.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students in distress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and interventions.
Requirements:
- Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements for a Social Worker.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
