Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to collaborate in their development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to meet all district, state, and federal requirements for school-based occupational therapy
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities or developmental delays to improve fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to incorporate therapy goals into students' daily routines and learning environments
- Develop and implement interventions that support students abilities to perform school-related tasks, including self-care, handwriting, and classroom participation
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in accordance with school district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students are receiving appropriate services and supports
