Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time position within our partner school districts in the Ellicott City, MD area. Position Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Maryland Occupational Therapist License
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred
- Ability to pass background and reference checks in accordance with district standards
- Additional state and local compliance as required by Maryland schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs in areas such as motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to support each students goals
- Provide therapy sessions to improve students' abilities in the educational environment
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to integrate therapy goals into students' daily routines
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on strategies to enhance student success
