Qualifications:
- Active Georgia School Psychologist certification
- Masters degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Thorough understanding of special education laws (IDEA) and IEP development
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to meet all district, state, and federal requirements for school psychologists
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' learning, behavior, and emotional development
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide counseling services to students and support mental health interventions to address behavioral and emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to help identify and implement appropriate educational strategies for student success
- Assist in the development and implementation of intervention plans to address behavioral issues and improve academic outcomes
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff to support a positive learning environment and address any concerns related to student development
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
