Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing qualified Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) for a full-time position within our partner school districts in the DeLand, FL area. Position Requirements:
To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Florida State License or SLPA certification as required
- Must be supervised by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred
- Ability to pass background and reference checks in accordance with district standards
- Additional state and local compliance as required by Florida schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in delivering therapy services to students
- Support students in achieving speech and language goals through direct interventions
- Implement therapy techniques and activities as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document student progress and provide feedback to the supervising SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
