A fantastic school district located in Pittsfield, MAis actively seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join theteam. The successful candidate willassist the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in conducting assessments and evaluations of students with communication disorders
- Implement therapy programs as designed by the SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to provide coordinated services to students with communication disorders
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy programs as needed
- Document student progress and communicate with parents/guardians as needed
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
- Valid State Speech Language Pathology Assistant certification
- Experience working with students with communication disorders
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
