Position Requirements:
To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Masters Degree in Social Work or related field
- Current Illinois Social Work License (LMSW or LCSW)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement in Illinois
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) required
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred
- Ability to pass background and reference checks in accordance with district standards
- Additional state and local compliance as required by Illinois schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and social-emotional support to students in both individual and group settings
- Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and academic needs
- Develop and implement interventions to support positive student outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to promote a supportive learning environment
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of services provided
