Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Bonsall, CA. This full-time position (32.5 hours per week) will focus on providing speech and language services to elementary school students (K-6th grade). The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping children develop strong communication skills and will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide individualized support. We are also open to two part-time professionals who can split the caseload if preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on student needs, goals, and progress.
- Provide direct therapy services in one-on-one and group settings, targeting speech articulation, language development, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create and implement strategies that support students communication development in the classroom.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to meet individualized goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing updates on student progress, therapy outcomes, and recommendations.
- Support classroom teachers in implementing strategies to help students with speech and language needs thrive in the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Stay informed of the latest best practices, resources, and research in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- California Speech-Language Pathologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children (K-6th grade), preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge of IEP development, special education services, and speech/language assessments.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
