Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Port Orchard, WA area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional passionate about supporting students' developmental and educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in providing therapy services to students.
- Implement therapy plans to support students fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide documentation as required.
- Adapt and modify therapy activities to meet individual student needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing student goals.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current licensure or certification as a COTA in Washington state.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering student growth and success.
