Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time role with school districts in the Augusta, GA area. Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Georgia.
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
- Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
As a COTA, you will:
- Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
- Conduct therapeutic activities to improve students motor, sensory, and daily living skills.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district policies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and contribute to care plans.
