Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time role with school districts in the Gatesville, NC area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students, staff, and families to provide crucial psychological services that enhance student learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students to evaluate academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and implement interventions and support plans.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services for students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
- Offer consultation and training to school staff on mental health issues and behavior management strategies.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIP).
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress, assessments, and interventions.
- Assist in the coordination of school-wide mental health initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (required).
- Current North Carolina licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in a school setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of special education laws and practices.
- Ability to conduct psychological testing and assessments.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Passing a background check and fingerprint clearance.
