Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- New Jersey state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Eligibility for or possession of a New Jersey Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Specialist.
- Familiarity with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process and state special education requirements.
- Prior school-based experience is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team.
- Provide direct therapy services to help students achieve their communication goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create effective support strategies.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
