Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans developed by an Occupational Therapist (OT) to enhance students motor skills and daily living abilities.
- Provide individualized and group therapy sessions to students with varying needs.
- Document therapy sessions and track student progress towards their goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans.
Education, License, and Certification Requirements:
- Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Illinois state COTA licensure.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a school or pediatric setting.
