Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) for a full-time role in Fayetteville, NC school districts. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated COTA to support students in developing the skills needed to thrive in school and daily life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy (OT) programs under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Work with students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual or group settings, helping students achieve their functional goals.
- Document and monitor student progress, and assist in developing progress reports.
- Help create and modify materials and classroom environments to support the students' therapy needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed to provide input on therapy goals and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current certification and licensure as a COTA in the state of North Carolina (required).
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Current health clearances and immunizations.
