Job Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify students speech, language, and communication needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
- Providing therapy to students with speech and language disorders in one-on-one or group settings.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educating families and staff about effective communication strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech therapy services.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the followinglocal and state requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders (required).
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology license (required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
- School-based or pediatric experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting, as mandated by the school district.
