BlazerJobs is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join Palmer Public Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This role involves providing support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Position Details:
- Schedule:
- 30 hours per week
- Full-time, in-person position
- Caseload:
- Assist in supporting students with speech and language development needs
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Conduct speech and language assessments under supervision and assist in tracking student progress
- Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support students' communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of student progress
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or equivalent per state requirements
- Experience working with students with speech and language disorders preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- In-person availability required
