Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position in the Forest City, NC area. We are looking for skilled and compassionate professionals who are dedicated to improving students' communication abilities and enhancing their academic experience. Position Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid North Carolina SLP license or certification (must meet all state and district requirements)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred)
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and treatment plans
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and staff
- Ability to pass background checks and other district-specific screenings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs
- Provide direct therapy services, targeting speech and language goals within the school environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to maximize effectiveness
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff and families to support students' growth
- Educate and provide resources to families and school staff regarding speech and language development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and adhere to all state, district, and school policies
