Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech-language therapy activities under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Assist in the development and execution of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
- Provide one-on-one or group support to help students achieve therapy goals.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by school policies and state regulations.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students communication needs within the classroom environment.
- Adapt therapy strategies and materials to fit individual student needs.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field (required).
- Valid SLPA license or certification in the state of Washington.
- Previous experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings (preferred).
- Knowledge of speech and language development, as well as common communication disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compliance with local and state requirements, including:
- Background check clearance.
- Current health clearances and immunizations.
