Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position involves working in one school with a mixed PreK-8th grade caseload. The primary focus will be on early elementary grades (PreK-4) and supporting self-contained classrooms with students identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will collaborate with a skilled part-time SLP in a supportive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students.
- Conduct evaluations, write evaluation reports, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Deliver therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Offer support to self-contained classrooms and address the unique needs of students with ASD.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Connecticut SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience working with PreK-8th grade students, particularly early elementary and students with ASD, is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
