School Social Worker Garden City, MI (Full-Time, 2024-2025 School Year)
Blazerworks is excited to partner with a school district in Garden City, MI, to offer a full-time School Social Worker position for the 2024-2025 school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to support mental health and social-emotional development.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and parents to create individualized support plans for students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and create personalized action plans.
- Lead programs on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and stress management.
- Offer crisis intervention and conflict resolution for students and staff as needed.
- Act as a resource for families, providing referrals to community-based services when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of services and progress.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Valid Social Worker license in the state of Michigan.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong ability to engage and connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
