Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students.
- Monitor student progress and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Support crisis intervention and implement strategies to foster a positive school climate.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state educational regulations, including special education laws.
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering training and guidance on psychological and educational best practices.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (required).
- Valid New Jersey Department of Education Certification as a School Psychologist (required).
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and other related state and federal regulations.
- Prior experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
