We are seeking a School Psychologist to join a dedicated and collaborative team at a school district in Kerman, California. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) working with an elementary school caseload. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of young students and will work closely with staff, parents, and community partners to ensure the success of each student.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary school students to identify cognitive, emotional, and social needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling services focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective intervention plans for students with mental health concerns or learning disabilities.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide psychological insights for students with special education needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students in need, including referring students to outside services as appropriate.
- Conduct observations and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive, individualized student support plans.
- Provide consultation to teachers on classroom management and strategies to support students mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Support the development and implementation of school-wide mental health and social-emotional learning (SEL) programs.
Qualifications:
- Required: Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
- Required: Valid School Psychologist certification or credential for California.
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments, behavior interventions, and IEP development.
- Knowledge of social-emotional learning (SEL) and behavioral support strategies.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize tasks within a school setting.
