Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dedicated team at a San Bruno school district in California. This full-time position will work with a moderate Pre-K caseload, providing essential speech therapy services to young children in an inclusive, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with early childhood development and a passion for helping students communicate effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for Pre-K students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech delays, communication disorders, and language difficulties.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to young children, fostering speech and language development in a school setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and developmental needs.
- Monitor student progress, document therapy sessions, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and contribute to IEP development.
- Offer guidance and consultation to staff on speech and language development strategies in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Required: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Required: Active California licensure (CCC-SLP) and/or state credentials for school-based SLPs.
- Previous experience working with Pre-K children, especially those with moderate speech and language disorders, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with educators and families.
- Experience with IEP development and working in a school setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with language development milestones in young children.
