Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:07 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Hours Per Week: 32.5
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This role involves providing speech and language services to approximately 40-45 students, including Pre-School, 3rd, and 4th-grade students. Some students are part of the Autism Program. The position includes a mixed caseload with students presenting a variety of disabilities and needs.
Caseload Highlights:
- Student Ages: Pre-School, 3rd grade, and 4th grade
- Disabilities: Mixed (Autism, Language Learning Disabilities [LLD], Inclusive/General Education)
- AAC Devices: Experience with AAC devices is required
- Workspace: Dedicated private workspace for the SLP
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students with communication needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to foster student success.
- Utilize AAC devices to support students requiring assistive communication tools.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid NJ state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with a diverse student population, including those in Autism and inclusive education programs.
- Proficiency in using AAC devices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
