Requirements:
- Licensing:
- Must be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan.
- Certification:
- All local and state certification requirements must be met.
- Technology Familiarity:
- Must be comfortable using various technology platforms to deliver remote services and support remote teaching.
- Experience:
- Prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, especially in a school setting, is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote speech and language assessments and evaluations for students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents.
- Offer speech and language therapy services to students via virtual platforms.
- Support students in improving their communication skills, including articulation, language development, and social communication.
- Provide progress updates and recommendations to teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and any necessary reports.
- Ensure all services are compliant with local and state guidelines.
